Opal Fire ring

1 in stock

This beautiful vintage 1960's cocktail ring was made by Panetta, a high end Italian jewelry designer known for making costume designs that rivaled the quality and look of fine jewelry. This ring in particular features the nicest glass fire opals we've ever seen, hands down. Set in a cluster, the statement ring shines as the pink opals capture the light and dimensionally shift from pink, to blue, to purple tones and picks up the gold plate of the sterling setting. Although the opals are glass, this is such a well made piece in a sterling silver setting with a heavy gold vermeil overlay and it would make a beautiful gift as October birthstone jewelry, a unique promise ring, or even an alternative engagement ring.

Ring size 5. The ring features a total of 13 faux opal stones, 6 oval cabochons measuring approximately 6.5mm x 4mm each and 7 round cabochons measuring approximately 4mm each. Each stone is held in place by four prongs. The cluster ring has a subtle starburst shape, measuring about 1.5" wide across the dome and approximately 1.25" long. The ring is about 1" tall and features subtle cutouts on the shoulders, an elegant tapered design to finish off the tall and regal mount. The band is thin and comfortable. The shank is marked "Panetta" and "Sterling." In great condition with normal and minimal wear, mostly on the inside of the band.
